What do you think of Cassandra Beth?

I really don't like any of the obvious nicknames for Cassandra like Cassie, Cass or Sandy. However, I wonder if Cassandra is too much of a mouthful. My mil's name is Sandra, which I do not like, but I think Cassandra would be a close enough of a tribute to her (I named my other two children after my own parents, with this next one, I had better use my in-laws or else!)

My grandmother's name is Elizabeth, but she has always gone by Beth. Do you think it flows okay with Cassandra?

Thanks for any thoughts,

Patti

Cassandra Beth is pretty and a nice tribute. I usually like the formal nam, not the nn, but for a mn & for your reasoning, it's fine. An alternative to Cassandra, esp. since you don't like Cassie, et. al.: Alexandra or Alessandra. (Sandy is traditinoal nn for Alexander/Alexandra & the Alessandra spelling actually fits Sandra in there.)

The, if you like, you could use Ali/Ally for a nn.

I think Cassandra Beth is very pretty, and your reasoning makes sense about using Beth rather than the full Elizabeth for her mn...not to mention the fact that Beth is a nice compliment to the longer Cassandra...I think Cassandra is very nice as a fn and it doesn't need a nn...

good luck!

I don't think Cassandra and Beth really go well together. It's ok as a combination, but it wouldn't be a first choice for me. Best of luck to you!

I have a good friend named Cassandra Elizabeth! She goes by Elizabeth. I don't think it's too long, and people will assume her full name is Cassandra Elizabeth even if it's C. Beth.

I think both are beautiful and if you call her Cassandra what others will too.

I like Cassandra Elizabeth and Cassandra Beth.

I have a friend named Cassandra who used Andi as her nickname. She uses Cassandra professionally (she works in the legal system) but Andi among friends.
