It's an okay name....I think I'd only say yes to it if it has special meaning to you.

I know a little girl named Harley at my dd's school, i like it. She's a cutie, and it fits her. Not too common of a name if that's what you are looking for.
I say if you like it --it doesn't matter what others think :)

good luck

naming a girl after a motorcycle would not be a good deal

there is a Harley on the GUIDING LIGHT soap opera. Her middle name is even Davidson. Apparently her dad on the soap was a big cycle rider at the time she was born. Soaps (and probably celebrities) can get away with such nonsens. I wouldn't recommend it in the real world

Only if the child is directly related to the founder(s) of Harley-Davidson, and then I'd use it as a second or third name lol

Harley also reminds me of WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race-a legendary heel (i.e. a bad guy) wrestler.

It is definately a masculine name.

I think Harley is perfectly acceptable for a girl, and I didn't think of the motorcycle when I read it...but if you are deterred, I would offer the name Hadley as an alternative...knew a super-pretty, smart girl with that name and recently ran into an adorable infant girl named Hadley.

Good luck!
