It depends on whether it has a real family connection...if it does (say, for example it was your maiden name or your great grandfather's name) I'd be all for it. if you just like the way it sounds, I'd say no.

If, and only if, this is a family name, it might be ok for a mn. Unfortunately, it plays into two different trends popular at the moment -- random Mc- names AND the surge of Cade/Caden/Jadon/Aiden/Hayden and all other -aden type names. Defintely one I'd avoid.

I'm not a fan of "Mc" names unless they have a family connection. The prefix "Mc" or "Mac" means "son of". So, if your baby with be the son of a Cade or if McCade is a family surname, I'd say it's wonderful but otherwise I would choose something else. Cade by itself is a great name - very strong, albeit popular by relation to the Caden/Jaden/Hayden/ Aiden/Brayden trend.
