What do you think of the name Rory/Ruari (same pronuniciation) for a girl? (Gilmore Girls excluded)

I voted like it, esp. as a nn for Aurora. I have a family member who has trouble pronouncing R's, so it would sound like "Wory." That's why I can't love it. lol
I love it for boys, not am just so-so on it for girls
I voted like it, but that is for a boy.

Definitely not as a given name, but assuming you mean nn I actually do like this for either gender. Even though it has a masculine feel, it still seems to work to kind of balance out a very feminine name like Aurora or Lorelei (I've heard it used for both ).
I'd stick to the Rory spelling if it's for a girl, btw, since that form is often considered to come simply from ruadh (so meaning red or redhead), while the -ri forms (namely Ruaidhri, Ruadhri and Ruari) come from ruadh + ri, literally meaning red king, and are strictly masculine.
HTH ;)
