Ruari is the Feminine way to spell/use Rory.

Oh, ok. I hadn't realized it would be the given name. That would have changed my vote to dislike, but I still love it as a nn. ;)

Also, I know Ruari/Rory (either spelling) is listed in many name books and sites as a feminine form of the name -- just like many also list Michael or George as feminine options. My point was simply that while the Rory spelling is often related to the actual word ruadh, or red, and used for either sex, Ruari is literally derived from ruadh and ri, or "red king," and generally considered masculine. You can still use it for a girl, by all means. Pretty much akin to using the actual masculine name Ryan for a girl ... fine if you want a masculine name, but you wouldn't want to name her that thinking it's the "girl" version, KWIM? ;) Just thought that was something you'd want to be aware of.
