What about Isaiah? It is my son's middle name and we get lots of compliments on it. Just a thought. I love Josiah too!!

Josiah is my choice too. In fact, it is the ONLY boy's name left that I like. But I listed the other two names as DH has insisted that I am not getting Josiah. He says Josie says like a sissy.

I love the name Isaiah also...but...big problem...I have a son named Isaiah already.
(See? I really do like the name!)

Another problem with Josiah now is that DH nixed the name for my last baby so we compromised with Joshua. So now I am afraid if I can win and get Josiah that it will be too similar to his brother Joshua.

What do you think? Should I give up on Josiah and settle for Ishmael, Mikhail or other?

Sounds like you really like Hebrew names so how about going with something like Levi, Simon

I love Josiah, too, but I think you might get tongue-tied having to say Isaiah, Joshua, and Josiah all the time. ;-) Do Isaiah and Joshua have nicknames? If so, that may help with some of the confusion.

Ishmael isn't really my style, and I think that will become a mouthful with your other boys' names, too, not to mention a lifetime of hearing, "Call me Ishmael." ;-) And Mikhail's not bad, but b/c of Gorbachev, it has more of a Russian feel to me rather than a Hebrew feel like your other names. JMO, though.

A few more ideas:
Ezekiel
Jonah
Abraham
Elijah
Titus

Love your suggestion of Elijah....but another problem...
I have a son named Elijah too!!!!

Ezekiel...sounds like Easy
Hubby doesn't like Abraham...
I only will consider 3 syllables or more...so names like Ezra and Noah are not possible....

Can you see why I am stuck?

My last name is german...so something russian or european would work with it...
I prefer Michael (pronounced Mick - KAY- ELLE) but am concerned that in North America he will be called (MIKE-CALL). But I love the ELLE sound in Ishmael and Mikhail...
but still not sold on the names themselves....

Any other ideas?
