What sounds best as a middle name? Our last name is Berry. Other suggestions?

I'm sorry, I just think all these names together are too heavy on the "r"s, especially with your last name.

Best of luck to you , though!

I've always loved the name Raelene. Sounds like ray-LEEN. I think Kierra Raelene sounds great, do you like it?

I voted for Raeann. For other suggestions, I really like Rhian (ree-an ... short for Rhiannon) or Rhain (ray-in ... you could probably use this as an alternate spelling for Rain).

Actually, Kiera is a Celtic name usually pronounced "key-ra". I'm not sure if this is the pronunciation that was intended, but it's what I had assumed. Other forms are Kira, Kyra, Kiaran, Ciaran and Ciara (all pronounced the same, except for the additional "n" endings, of course). If it helps, the Kiaran form might avoid the rhyminess someone else mentioned, and you could shorten it to Kiara/Kiera. HTH!

I agree that, at least for me, these names don't flow well, especially with the LN Berry. Don't get me wrong. I think they are fine names, but I'm really into the flow and sound of names, and with your LN, these just seem to lack flow. Have you considered any three-syllable first names? I think that a three-syllable first name might flow much better with your LN. I think a MN could still be just one or two syllables, though.

I just noticed from another discussion that you started that you are pronouncing Kiera as three syllables. I assumed it was pronounced as only two syllables. Even still, I would agree with some of the PPs that it just doesn't flow very well. Maybe it is too heavy on the "r" sounds, as I think someone else suggested.

If you do decide to stick with the name Kiera, you might consider spelling it Kierra, to emphasize the way you want it pronounced. Just a thought.
