I'm confused about how a Paige Sydney or Paige Sabrina is named for a Sylvia? Is there a name I'm missing here? Are you looking for a name similar to Sylvia? I'm confused!

What about Sylvie? I love it, and it's the French form of your grandmother's name.

Paige Sylvie...so pretty. Other than that, I like Sydney. Congratulations!

What's the point of "making up" a middle name that in no way resembles Sylvia? I don't get it. Why don't you name her Paige Sylvia?

My husband and I have decided that we would just use the first initial of her middle name to name after my grandmother. I am really not fond of the name Sylvia otherwise I would use it. I know that is not the best way to honor her but that is what we have done with our other children and in our religion it is really the hebrew name that is used to honor the deceased. By choosing a middle name beginning with an S it will make it easier to choose a hebrew name that resembles hers..

Just a note, we still do not know the gender of this child so this might be a non issue :)

Thanks for all your help!
