I voted for Gabrielle, but I don't like that Maxine rhymes with Greene.

I hesitate to say this a little bit, b/c I don't know if you're using Maxine b/c it is a family name...but I kind of don't like how Maxine Green rhymes. However, since Maxine is the middle name, I think it's definitely feasible. Or, maybe you can use Maxina instead...

I think I like the first name Alyna better, but I'm not sure b/c I'm not positive about the pronunciation...

would it be

Ah-LYNN (like the name Lynn)- ah (Ah-LYNN-ah)

or...

Ah-LIE (as in "tell a lie")-na (Ah-LIE-na)

I like Ah-LYNN-ah better.

Best wishes!

Thanks for the feedback Michelle.

Maxine is a family name. It's my DH's great grandmother and she is so excited that we are expecting. I should add that she is 94 years old. His parents are really pushing for us to use it as a middle name. I'm not so sure, like you said, it does rhyme and sounds a little funny.

Thanks for the input,

Megan

I had actually intended it to be pronounced as

ah-LAY-na

You bring up a good point though. I don't think it is spelled the way I want it to be said. Thanks for pointing that out.

I voted for Gabrielle, but seeing how you want to pronounce Alyna I want to change my vote, and offer some spelling alternatives, how about Alaina or Alayna.... a beautiful name...
