Which do you prefer?
- Naomi (English -- NAY-oh-me)
- Noémie (French -- no-AY-me)
- Noemí (Spanish -- no-ay-ME)
- PLEASE COMMENT
- I like the alternate French and Spanish versions
- of Naomi better than the English Naomi.
- I am a French-speaking American of English
- descent, with no French or Spanish ties. Is it odd
- for me to choose a different culture's version?

The other two I might pronounce NO-eh-mee or NO-mee without knowing any better.

Like a pp, I've generally heard the stress placed on the second syllable of Naomi (nay-O-mee). Assuming that was just a typo, I do love the name.
I would also assume most are at least familiar with the French form (pretty standard, I'd think ... not that hard to figure out, KWIM?), but some will mispronounce even Naomi. Trust me, I know two of them, and it happens all the time. LOL
I personally wouldn't use the Spanish/Italian form unless it reflected my heritage, but that's just me.
