Normally I don't go for alliterative names, but I love Gemma for you and since the G sounds are different I can ignore it (heck, you might even like the possible nn Gigi, which is cute). ;)
I know your dh loves Grace, and while I don't mind it as much in the middle (although it is a HUGE filler, as you know), it's getting just as popular as a fn. I'd guess it'll be in the top 10 this year (#14 last year, so not that far off anyway). Now if that combo were switched around ... well I don't know what I'd have voted for between Gemma Grace and Vivian Grace! ;) Then alliteration might have swung my vote to Vivian. LOL
Thanks for all of your advice, comments, etc.!!! I think I have finally broken the Grace curse. I have always loved the name Olivia nn Livi and tonight DH said he does as well! We are going back to Olivia Charlize Watson!!!! WDYT??? Charlize honors his grandfather that raised him and has passed away. I like Livi/he likes Charli!!! Grace is just to common and I couldn't get over the "c/s" sounds when combined w/ Watson. Not my favorite! Will & Livi!! Thanks again!!!
I'm glad you finally found a comprimise you can BOTH love, and Olivia Charlize is a wonderful combo. ;)
On a sidenote, be aware that Olivia is the fifth most popular name nationally (only mentioning it since you weren't happy with how common Gace was). I think Olivia's popularity is more regional, however. For instance, in our birthing class with our first dd six years ago, it seemed nearly every other couple expecting girls named them Olivia -- most of the dozen or so couples were having boys, but there were at least three Olivias I can recall -- but we've since moved an hour away and rarely run into one (Sophia and Isabella are the popular ones here).
I went to the social security baby name site and it is 11th for our state. I know Olivia is popular but we do not know any or run into that many. However, Grace is everywhere...double names esp. I like the flow better w/ this choice. I think our last name is what made this so difficult. I like a lot of names until I put ln w/ it. We are only ttc and praying each day ;-) so who knows this 'could' change back to Grace but let's hope not! I think Livi is great cutesy nn, then there is Liv if she wants along w/ Olivia. If she is a tomboy then we can use Charli like DH would like. ;-) Thanks.
Ah, that makes sense then ... Olivia is number four in PA (and we lived near Philadelphia when Kaitlyn was born). FWIW, Abigail is number five in our state overall, but we've only heard it twice since she was born -- the twin to one of the girls in Kaitlyn's class at school and once in a store.
I do think Olivia Charlize is a wonderful compromise for you, and it does offer a lot of options as she ages. ;)

I would scratch Grace altogether- it is way too common. Vivian Gemma or Gemma Vivian are both GORGEOUS.

Will & Livi!! Thanks again!!!
That is a gorgeous choice, love it. Sounds so nice and love the meaning behind it.
