If I could split my vote between Margaret and Eleanor I would, I love them both. Sarah, Elizabeth and Katherine are also lovely, but more common so they don't excite me as much.

I'll pretty much ditto the last post. ;) I love both Eleanor and Margaret, and they have the advantage of fitting in with current trends without being overly-popular or trendy themselves. Many of the others are nice, but more common, so they don't appeal to me quite as much.

The only one I strongly dislike is Quay. Like a hedge? It just doesn't seem to fit the same style or sound very feminine at all (reminds me of quail). If it's a family name I'd reserve it for the middle.

A lot of these names I love for the great nn options. I LOVE Margaret nn Greta or Maggie, so that got my vote. Quay and Campbell are the only names I don't like, and I prefer Katharine spelt Katherine or Catherine, it looks simpler and more classy to me. I do find Sarah a bit plain compared to the others, although they all are nice classics, but Sarah doesn't really have any nn's to fall back on. Oh, I correct myself- Sadie!

Great choices.

Just curious... is Campbell your maiden name or a family name for someone that you'd like to honor? I don't see it working all that well as a fn, much less one for a girl. Your other choices are lovely, though- classic and distinguished... :-)

Love Katharine spelled that way...really classy like Katharine Hepburn :)

Its an older variant than Katherine anyway LOL so you aren't being trendy at all :)

lol as your post first came up, I saw Elizabeth and Margaret and thought it was really funny. I was thinking, "watch, Kathryn will be on this list too!" and it was! lol the reason this is funny, is because I'm Elizabeth and my sisters are Kathryn and Margaret (fn- Elizabeth Jane, Kathryn Anne and Margaret Rachel) Kathryn and Margaret are both family names, Kathryn being my g-great-aunt who took care of my grandmother after she was born (nn Kitty, and spelled the same way i used) and Margaret a name on my dad's side. My name is just my mom's switched around, but i dont think they planned it out that way, just thought it would be cool.

You have a lot of really beautiful names up there on the list. Margaret is a great name from my experience watching my sister grow up. It's unique, but classic and she's always loved her name (she's going through a phase at 16 now where she's Mar, but she's 16....) I know I love my name. it is common, but at the same point, everyone makes it their own. Some use Liz, Lizzy, Beth or Libby (I'm Lizzie or Liz) Kathryn is a great name too. I personally like it spelled this way better, but it still is a beautiful name.

Also, since i'm talking about my sisters, my parents had every intention of calling Kathryn "Katie". At age 2, she announced that she was Kathryn, not Katie. She now is either Kat, or Kathryn...but it took about 15 years.

Sorry for my random memories, it just was really funny seeing all three names together. :) good luck tho! they all are beautiful, elegant and classic names :)
