I like Abigail and Lydia. Depends on which sounds better with the last name.
Zipporah brings to mind Zippo lighters Moriah just doesn't sound good to my ears Rachel has always grated on me - almost like fingernails on a chalkboard!
My name is Rachel, I used to not like it as a child, but came to like it. I also love the name Abigail. If you are anything like me, you want want different but like the names that are coming out more. I named my daughter Hailey Elizabeth. When I chose that name, she wasn't even concievied. By the time I had her, the name Hailey had came out quiet a bit. But... her spelling is rare. Good luck. I know once you see your little girl, it will just come to you and she will look like nothing else but the name you chose for her!
I'm the one that voted for the lovely Zipporah! I think it's a gorgeous biblical name (the wife of Moses)and I adore it's meaning; 'bird'. I know two grown Zipporahs and they are completely wonderful women (which I suppose colors my judgement a bit) but I think if you're looking for a familiar but underused biblical name, Zipporah's a winner.
Abigail & Rachel are both too popular for my taste (and I dislike Abigail anyway because of the sound). Lydia's climbing the charts fast and she may have two or three Lydia's in classes with her, it's now in the top 200 (but it would've been my pick had Zipporah not been on the list). Moriah's pretty but I don't like it for two reasons: one, it makes me think of Mariah Carey (ewwww!) and two, it's a place name in the bible and I dislike place names of all sorts. So Zipporah is the winner for me on several levels!
