Can you tell me how Caoimhe is pronounced?

Caoimhe is pronounced KEE-va. It's a gaelic name and I believe it means beautiful.

HTH :)

Oh wow really? After looking at it for a minute I was afraid that it was Cammy spelled outlandishly.

Poet and Lyric seem corny to me and I know I would not want to have those names! I don't have a clue as to how to pronounce Caoimhe, so my vote went to Piper by elimination.

ETA I, too, thought it was a weird spelling of Cammy/Cami.

Caoimhe is definitely my favorite, though as you can see, many aren't familiar with it. Of course, you could simply spell it phonetically for those who have trouble with it -- Keeva. An easy fix.

If telling people how to pronounce it doesn't bother you, Caoimhe is a wonderful choice. Love it. ;)

With a name like Caoimhe your dd will spend her whole life telling people how to say it correctly. If you use it as a middle name she would not have much of a problem at all. It does have a beautiful meaning but I would not use a name that nobody would know.
