I voted Scarlett Reese. I love the name Scarlett!! And I love the name Reese. I don't know if I like them together. But it's better than Scarlett Rose.. which sounds like red rose, but if that's what you're going for then it's perfect :D

With the name Scarlett I would pick a classy middle name (you were on the right track with Rose) because when I hear the name Scarlett, I think of an elegant woman. I love classy names. My son's name is Jackson Lane.

Maybe something like Scarlett Elizabeth, Scarlett Aurora, Scarlett Fiona, Scarlett Belle, Scarlett Ashley (Ashleigh)

I agree with you on the classy middle name. I would like to give her a more simple middle name since Scarlett is fairly unusual for the first name, but it is hard to think of names that flow with Scarlett. I like R names because if her middle name started with an R then we would have the same intials. But I am open for suggestions. I like Scarlett Ashley, but do you think that people will assume that I am obsessed with Gone With the Wind, (Scarlett spent most of her life in love with a man named Ashley), I have seen the movie but that is not what inspired the name. My husband actually thought of it because he is a HUGE Ohio State Football Fan and their colors are scarlett and grey.

Scarlett is my all-time favourite name, but the last name is Porch and Scarlett Porch just brings to mind a picture of a big red front porch, so it is out for me :(

I love Scarlett Jones though, however I would avoid Rose, or any other word name for that matter, as it makes it sound as if you are describing the word- Scarlett Rose makes you think of a red rose.

Scarlett Reese is nice, but Scarlett Reese Jones is a bit choppy. I would avoid a 1-syallable mn with last name Jones, especially one ending in -s or -se.

I agree with you on Scarlett Ashley. I would immediately think of GWTW. It is a bit too much.

Here are some ideas:

Scarlett Cora Jones

Scarlett Ada Jones

Scarlett Clara Jones

Scarlett Alanna Jones

Scarlett Evelyn Jones

Scarlett Nicole Jones

Scarlett Greta Jones

Scarlett Della Jones

Scarlett Maren Jones

Scarlett Bethany Jones

LOL... I've never seen Gone with the Wind... I had no idea!!

I think that's a great idea that your initials will match. Now, I'm looking at your screen name... is Jones your last name? Are you saying her name with your last name too? I don't know if I would pair Rose with Jones.. that's just me.

I'm having a heck of a time coming up with a boys name this time... sigh. I love these 2 names, but they sound funny with our last name. It's a bummer :( Maybe I'll just change my last name, LOL

Do you like the name Scarlett? Are you letting your husband pick the name for a girl? What other names do you like?

I like the idea of sharing your initials with your daughter. I really like Reese, so fun and spunky like the name Scarlett. I'd avoid Rose and Ruby. I really think of GWTW when I hear Scarlett Ashley

Here are some other great R names:

Ruth - a very nice combo with Scarlett
Rue - a little short, but could be good
Rebecca - a classic choice
Ramona - a great name that ends in an A, everyone knows it, but it never gets used. I think Scarlett Ramona Jones sounds nice

Scarlett Rose is too many words/colors and I don't care for Reese as a girl's given name (even in the middle, really). I also agree that a one-syllable name isn't the best with Jones. Since you'd like an R name to give her the same initials as yours, what about ...

Scarlett Rachel/Richael
Scarlett Rebecca
Scarlett Rowena
Scarlett Rhiannon/Rhianna
Scarlett Rhonwen
Scarlett Rosalind (not the actual word "rose," and also avoids the single-syllable problem)

LOL at his reason for liking Scarlett! We're big OSU fans, too -- Go Bucks! If he really wants to honor Ohio State, maybe he'd consider Scarlett Rae. Or Scarlett Brutus? Scarlett Tressel? Okay, maybe I'm not much help. ;-)

I voted for Scarlett Reese, but really, none of the choices apply for me. I'm not a big fan of Scarlett Reese, and I don't like Scarlett Rose at all -it's too "phrase-y"...and kind of like a...nail polish color or something. Don't get me wrong, though, I like the name Scarlett a lot. I don't think it's too "weird" at all! Scarlett Reese is okay, but I might choose a different mn... best of luck! :-)

I love the name Scarlet!! I know Mick Jagger named one of his daughters Scarlet Elizabeth.
It's very unusual and femine. Good luck!!!
