Which name is better for our first boy?
- Aaron Michael
- Eli William
- Noah Charles
You will be able to change your vote.

Well, I was shocked to see the choices that you have there! Why?? Well, our second son is Aaron Michael--so you know that I love that choice. One of our nephews is Noah Charles, and I have always loved the sound of that name.
Your third choice is the one I chose, Eli William--mostly due to the fact that now that we are expecting our third boy, I really would love to choose Elijah (Eli for short) and use William for the mn, which was my grandfather's name. Unfortunately for me, teh DH is not a huge fan on Elijah, so I will not be using that, so being that I think its a great name, that was my vote!
Theresa--mom to:
Brendan Ryan (3yrs old)
Aaron Michael (2 yrs old)
baby boy #3 (March 2006)
That is really funny that you have experiences with all these names! THe first names we picked because we liked them and the middle names are all family names. We tried all different combinations and these were the ones we liked best.
Have you noticed a lot of Aaron's or Noah's around now? We didn't want a name that was too common.
I voted for Aaron Michael - but really I like Noah the best of your first names by far (Aaron is pronouced exactly the same as the girl name Erin, so therefore it's almost the same as unisex)
but no way I could vote for Charles, even for a middle
Noah Michael would be a great combo
I never did understand why people have different middle choices for different first names - kinda weird
I think you should go with the first name you really love the best of all names, then find the proper middle to work with it
good luck
The only other Aarons I know of are all adults. I have not known that name to be "popular" right now at all. Although I don't think its a name that has ever gone out of style, its not a trendy name either.
I only know the 1 Noah as well.
The middle names we chose were family names as well. Michael is my Dh's mn, as my first son's mn is Ryan, dh's first name.

That's funny the pp mentioned that "Aaron is pronouced exactly the same as the girl name Erin," because my husband and I were just discussing this very thing. I think it has to do with where you live, because I have always - ALWAYS - heard Aaron pronounced ah-ron (short A sound) and Erin pronounced air-in. If you know what I mean, they are definitely different names. However, my husband is from Chicago, and after recently meeting a man named Aaron promptly called him Erin ... apparently the names are pronounced the same in the Midwest (according to him lol). Anyway, just something I thought I'd throw out there in case the unisex-sounding name comment was on your mind. (I think Aaron is a great name, btw). I do know a LOT of little boys being named Noah right now, so if popularity is an issue I might stay away from that one. HTH! :)
Ps. I also really like Eli, btw. Didn't want to leave that one out! ;)
