I voted for Scarlett b/c I like its classic quality, but it also has spunk.

Alessandra seems like it's "trying too hard" if that makes any sense. And it seems like a mix between Cassandra and Alexandra. If you're Italian, I think it could work though.

this was very easy for me, I think that names like Alexandra, Alexis, Alexandria, etc have become common. While Alessandra is different, I would still put it in the "Alex" category. I think that Scarlett is a lovely, classic name.

Easily Scarlett. It is my favourite name of all time, but unfortunately I can't use it with last name Porch... just gives you a picture of a big red porch :( Anyways, I love the name- it is spunky, classy, and underused. A perfect combination.

My vote went to Scarlett for the same reasons already mentioned. It's a beautiful classic, spunky and familiar without being overly-popular. Alessandra, while a nice name, still falls in with all the other done-to-death Alex- names, so it just doesn't hold the same appeal IMO.

Alessandra could be confusing and would be misspelled/mispromounced a lot. I have always loved Scarlett, All the reasons mentioned above, classic, classy, spunky. The name has a lot of personality that goes along with it.

I think they are both lovely. I have a dear friend Scarlet (one T) and she knows no one else with that name. Also, Alessandra is a beautiful, romantic italian name.

It would help to know your last name and the middle names you are suggesting. That might change the votes :)

I really love Alessandra- I think it's beautiful, classy, and romantic. And Italian!! :-) So I really love that one. Scarlett is very nice too... it's less my "style", but I still definitely have an appreciation for the name. I'd use that if I was anticipating a very spunky, fiery personality for my daughter, and Alessandra for a more polished, quiet, almost "floating" person... so it really depends on that rather than liking one over the other... :- )
