I can't vote -- none of the spellings seem fair to your daughter.

My favorite choice wasn't on your poll and that is: Mattilyn

With two t's, I think the name looks better with just one "n" on the end. I love that spelling b/c then the nn can be "Matti" and I much prefer that to "Maddi"...

Good luck - love the name!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I love the name, but I hate, HATE all these spellings. It seems such a shame to misspell such a gorgeous, feminine, classic name. You're sentencing your daughter to a lifetime of correcting the spelling of her name...not to mention embarrassment.

If you want to include "Lynn," what about Madelynn? That's different, but it doesn't have the abruptness of the "tt" in the middle, or the harshness of the "dd." When you see Mattilyn or Maddilyn written down, it's confusing for a moment...you actually have to sound it out to figure out what the name is. It reminds me of Kynnydye, which is a ruinous misspelling of Kennedy that I read in the birth announcements a few weeks ago. Also, those spellings encourage me to pronounce the name Mattie-Lynn or Maddie-Lynn, rather than as one name, Madelynn.

I think that Madelynn Marie is very pretty, and the alliterative first and middle names are great. Good luck, and let us know which spelling you settle on.
