Like everyone else thus far, I went with Brinley because it comes across as the least kre8iv, but the name overall still appears made-up.
It just seems to be one of those names a single person might mention on a board like this, and despite the brine/shrimp comments, a few others latch onto it. It doesn't help that it's similar to so many other names -- Bryn, Bryony, Brenna, Brianna, Brianne, Briana, Briallen, etc. -- with the popular -ley suffix tacked on. Just gives it an even trendier feel than it otherwise might have, KWIM?

Thanks for the feedback!
I thought your "single person" reference was cute...I've been with my husband for 10 years now!

LMBO I had to go back to my original reply because I couldn't for the life of me figure out what comment you were referring to, and I can assure you, I honestly wasn't making an assumption concerning your marital status. ;)

What I meant was that "Bryn + ley" seems to be mentioned in some form every few months or so, it will inevitably get many comments about it being kre8iv and made-up (especially depending on the spelling in question) and reminding many of brine shrimp, and then after that single (meaning ONE/solitary ... not unmarried) individual's post it will show up on a few others' lists and then die out again until someone else thinks they've thought it up.
Happens all the time -- and marital status doesn't seem to have any effect. hehe

Pregnancy brain!!
No problem. ;)
FWIW, I'm not sure how common/familiar this name would be to most, but I think most here, at least, do realize how it would be pronounced. The "brine" association is purely a visual one.
I'm a little torn, to be honest, because I do like Bryn (completely different feel what with Bryn Mawr and all), but Brinley really does look the least "trendy" and made-up, as far as spellings of created names go, if that makes sense.
