  • Elliot (#386 on SS website)
  • Elliott (#416 on SS website)
  • Eliott (not in the top 1000, but I've seen it this way recently on this board)

Either Elliot or Elliott are both nice. I think I prefer Elliot though, but its very close. The one I don't like is Eliott, when I look at it I think theres a spelling mistake.

Wow! I was really surprised how many others voted for Elliott! ;) This is definitely my preferred spelling. It just looks more complete to me. I usually make sure to put Elliot(t) when I suggest it to others, however, because I'd gotten the impression many preferred the single T. Now I know better.

Eliott would be my least favorite. I know it's used as another variation of the name, but without that second L I'd want to pronounce this Eli-ott (long E) ... not that I would. LOL

I definitely prefer Elliott. One L or one T looks incomplete to me. I do like Eliot though, when does as a tribute to T.S. Eliot or George Eliot.

I went with Elliott, but actually prefer Eliot, which you didn't list. Regardless, I love the name.

I prefer Eliot. It seems the most streamlined and the least confusing (Imagine people asking themselves, "Wait, are there two Ls or two Ts?"). Also, since I love both T.S. Eliot and George Eliot, I think that this spelling gives the name a bit of a history and association.
