I voted for Lila because it is the simpler spelling. My name is Brooke and I yet to meet a Brooke without an "e" on the end, but I always have to say with an "e." It gets old always having your named misspelled and for that reason I went with Lila.

Good luck,
Brooke

O chose Lila because I think it is the easier spelling.

I choose Lilah because it looked more sophisticated, like an exotic flower. It reminds me of Delilah. Whether that's good or bad is up to you.

I voted Lilah b/c Lila made me think it was pronounced (LEE-la) and Lilah prounounced (Lie-la)

I chose Lila because it's simpler and more phonetic. The H on Lilah isn't adding anything to the name and you can't hear it anyway -- so why even put it there? Also, it's not a name like Sarah which is traditionally spelled with the H.

In 2005, Lila was number 448 on the Social Security list and Lyla was 850. Lilah did not show up anywhere. I would always go with the more common spelling so the child doesn't have to spell her name her whole life. Good luck!

If you are sure this is the name you want, then I say Lilah because it seems more felinine and is pretty clear by the spelling on how it should be pronounced. LILA could look to someone like LEE-LA by the spelling and that is not pretty at all. Is there a reason why you chose this name? If you are looking for an "L" name, how about Lindsey? Or Delilah too?

I voted for Lila because it's the more traditional spelling.

I chose Lila mostly because of the current add a Y or H trend(which I don't like)I know with Lilah it isn't a made up add an H but I am just sick of seeing it. Lila(or Lilah) is beautiful BTW!

Thanks to all who voted/posted!

It looks like Lila is the preferred spelling by most. I think we're heading in that direction as well, but since I like the "h" on other names (Sarah, Hannah), I was just curious about the Lila/Lilah situation.

Thanks again!
