I voted for the first choice. Honestly, I don't understand the sudden need to throw a 'y' in everywhere. And I've never had any problems with the pronunciation of my name, so I don't think I'll have to change the spelling to "Traycy".

BTW, I've also seen Braden spelled in the following ways:

Braiden
Braidon
Braeden
Braedon

Good luck in choosing a spelling that fits your family best!

I'd have to agree with you. Braden IS the correct spelling, so it easily gmv.

Also, as you can see from the poll, most seem to be aware of that. If a few who aren't familiar with it initially say brad-en, a simple correction should do it. Better to have a nice, properly-spelled name and occasionally correct people than to try and spell it differently in an attempt to "help" those who don't know how to say it, KWIM? ;) After all, people will find a way to screw up even the simplest name. Braden is how it is spelled, and it happens to be the spelling you prefer anyway -- it seems you have your answer. ;)

ETA: "Traycy's" example is perfect! Loved that. LOL

I would pick a name that has only one or two accepted spellings and avoid the issue entirely.
