I met a lady today with a daughter named this. I have heard the name throughout the boards but never payed attention because it didnt do anything for me. I have never met anyone with this name. The little girl was so adorable, and make the name adorable. They prn. it ah-duh-lynn. Is that right? I am not sure how they spelled it, though. Is the correct prn? If not, is there a name prn that way?

I always pronounce Adeline as AD-uh-line, like the barbershop song "Sweet Adeline." I don't know if ah-duh-lynn is an alternate pronounciation or if it's a completely different name.

I think of Adeline as AD-a-line (rhymes with pine). I have seen another name (only on name boards, not yet in real life) spelled Adalyn/Adelyn, which I would pronounce AD-a-lynn.

This is my Nana's mn and I absolutely love it, especially because of the family connection. She spells it Adeline and pronounces it "ADD-uh-line"

It's like Madeline - I've seen it spelled that way and pronounced both as "line" or "lynn."

Like the others have mentioned, Adeline is AD-e-line (or ad-e-LEEN). Adelyn seems the most accepted spelling of the -lyn ending sound, though I've only seen it a few times.
