Advice on this name.....

We have decided that we want our baby to be name Nori, but I have found in older posts that a lot of people find this is a childish name. We know we want to call her this, so I'd appreciate if there could not be any comments regarding our actual name choice. My question is, would Nori be a good given name, or should we give a longer/former name and use Nori as a nn?

Thanks. I'd really appreciate your input.

Nori could be short for Noreen or Nora. If you plan to call her Nori, then make it part of her first name.

Nori would be a cute nn for any of these:

- Noreen
- Norah
- Eleanor
- Eleanora
- Leonora
- Norelle (I heard this somewhere, but can't remember where it was now. Even if it's made up, at least it sounds/looks like an actual name, lol)

I'd personally use it as a nickname. I like it alot as a nickname. But I would give a full name, like:

Annora (my favorite)
Eleanor/Elinor
Eleanora
Nora/Norah
Honora - Like this a lot also.
Honor

Good luck.
