Please go with Talayeh. Zenobia sounds like a anything but a name.
Good luck!

I really don't like either one, but Zenobia sounds too much like "Zenophobia" (Fear of someone different) which is used often enough to be in most people's vocabularies. It is also negative.

I haven't read any of the other responses yet, but I'm probably alone in choosing Zenobia over Talayeh (which I had to look at before I could type it out). Zenobia's got a great history and meaning. I found this about Zenobia at behindthename.com:
"Means "life of Zeus", derived from Greek Æçíï (Zeno), a prefix form of the name of Zeus, combined with âéïò (bios) "life". This was the name of a 3rd-century queen of Palmyra. After claiming the title 'Queen of the East' and expanding her realm into Roman territory she was defeated by emperor Aurelian". Aurelian is also a great name for a brother!
While Talayeh is pretty (and is a real, used name in Iran) it just doesn't come across as refined and lovely as Zenobia. I also don't like the pronunciation of Talayeh.. tah-LAY-ee-ah is what I say when I see it and I mightily dislike a name with 'lay' that prominent in it. I alos think Talayeh looks to much like Taylar, a variant of Taylor I've seen quite a bit of around here.
Zenobia will be the first middle name of my next daughter (should I have one) as it's not only one of my favorite names but it's a family name for me. My Maternal Great-Great grandmother was Anna Filippa Zenovia. I just prefer the more angicised version of Zenovia, Zenobia!
