I was wondering if any of you had some alteratives for the name Jackson. Our son's name is Grayson and we love the name Jackson, however recently had a friend name their baby Jackson. So, just was curious if there were names out there with the same "feel" as Jackson. Thanks.

I'm not sure if you're looking for the same sounds or just the same name-type.

1st thing I thought of was Tanner. Also Colby or Cole.

I am very glad you have scrapped Jackson- it is so overdone!

Here are some names that go well with Grayson:

Grayson & Tomson

Grayson & Wyatt

Grayson & Wade

Grayson & Leland

Grayson & Anders

Grayson & Luke/Lucas

Grayson & Eric

Grayson & Flynn

Grayson & Dean

Grayson & Beckett

Grayson & Nolan

Grayson & Jonah/Jonas

Grayson & Everett nn Rhett

Does Grayson ever go by Gray? If so, Grayson and Sullivan nn Gray and Sully go wonderfully together! Let me know if anything catches your eye!

You know I actually like you are looking for a different name. Grayson and Jackson seem too close in style since they both end "son." I liked the suggestion of Jasper, nn Jax/Jack. Does Grayson go by his full name 100% or do you guys sometime use the nn Gray?

Names that have the same feel as Jackson:
Asher
Carter
Miller
Ethan
Wyatt
Cole
Connor
Declan
Liam
Griffin
Graham
Harris
Miles
Quentin
Thomas
Everett
Tucker
Xander

Good luck,

You guys are so sweet for offering so many suggestions. Just to clear up a few questions, no, the name does not have to end in "son." To be more specific about what I meant by a name that has the same "feel" as Grayson, I guess I see Grayson as having a strong feeling, yet with southern appeal. Hope that helps...we are also looking for a girl name that nicely compliments Grayson, so any suggestions there would be appreciated as well.

Thanks again

Strong and southern I instantly thought Clayton but it might sound a bit much like Grayson. Collier is nice so is Harris(son) Forrest and Travis also come to mind
