All I have to say is...

I REALLY dislike Annabel (however it's spelled) for many reasons & I REALLY love Nora.

Annabel is ok, it's too "frilly" for me though.

Aw, I think that Annabel is so pretty!

If you're not wanting to call her 'Belle' at all, then the Annabel spelling seems like the best best.

Annabel/Annabelle is one of those names I want to like, but can't get into. I always picture a little girl

That is what I am worried about, that it is a little girl's name with no growth potential.

I love Annabel. I do not see a specific personality attached with this name (or any other name, really- I think names are unqiue to the person). I do prefer the spelling Annabel. Are you sure that Annabelle is the more popular spelling? I would be surprised to hear that. I have always seen Annabel and prefer this cleaner, classy look. I would pronounce Anabel "OH-uh-belle", so I consider that to be different. Annabelle is a bit frilly to me. A lot of kids now are going by their full names now, so I don't see any issue with her not using nicknames.

I actually prefer the spelling Annabel....I don't think you'd have a problem with people shortening it.

Annabel/Annabelle is pretty, though for some reason I always think of dairy cows when I hear it. Maybe I've just lived in Texas too long, LOL. I LOVE Nora!

I really like the name Anabelle. My husband and i actually considered it for us.
I don't think you should worry too much about people misspelling her name, no matter what name you choose, it's going to get misspelled occasionally.
Did you know that Anna means Grace and Belle means beautiful, and when you put it together Anabelle means easy to love. If you believe in the importance of a name then how could you go wrong with such a lovely name?
