i think we finally close to agreeing on a name.
Antony - Levi - M.....very very irish 2 sylable surname. lolol.
dh wanted an 'a'name and he had come up with 'andre' which did not work for me at all. my name in andrea, his is tony.
this is not set in stone and we have not told anyone yet. i definately want to keep 'antony' whether as the first or middle name and i do like, but can part with levi.
well what do you think?
thanks

if you name him Antony, everyone is going to think it's Anthony anyway. I think Antony, without that H in there, is very odd.
I'm not a big fan of Levi.
if your husband's name is just Tony and not Anthony, I'd part with Levi, like you said and use Anthony, or Antony if you must, as a middle name.
good luck
hi, i want it to sound like an-toe-nee. if i put the 'th' will ppl pronounce it an-tho-nee or is the h silent?
thanks

obviously with the H, the name is Anthony. the pronunciation you are going for with Antony is going to cause the child to have his name mispronounced and misspelled all his life. Is that what you want?
I guess what I'm trying to say, is it's just not a good name choice.
sorry, but jmo
I have heard of Antony and the spelling you have will get you the right pronunciation. Some people may glance at the name and think it is Anthony, but that happens with a lot of names - Jaren for Jared; Brett for Brent; Ryder for Ryker, etc.
I think Antony is a very strong name. I don't really care for Levi, mainly because of the double 'y' endings on both names.
How about:
Antony Richard
Antony Gabriel
Antony Reed
Antony Bryce
Antony Aaron
Antony Jordan
Antony Joseph
Antony Blaine
Antony Gage
Antony Michael
Actually, Anthony is the
thank you very much for this info. i am from the uk but have been living in the us for 19 years and i had not heard the TH pronounced in the name until coming here.

Sorry, this name reminds me of Anton Levy (Levey?).
I do like the name Anton, though, and Antony is a close second, just not with Levi.
Best wishes!
