Any regrets?

I was just wondering if anyone now regrets a name they chose for their child? I'm so worried that I'm going to pick the wrong one and regret it later. If you do have regrets, what are the reasons? Too popular? Heard something else you like better? Have your tastes changed? I'm just hoping it doesn't happen to me later on!

My first son is Ethan (6 yrs old). It is popular now but not so much back then. If I knew it was going to be that popular I might have considered a few different ones that are similar: Keethan, Easton, Keaton. I still love the name and really suits him. My other son is Logan (3 yrs old) and I just love it. I don't know any other Logan's. It is becoming popular as well but I don't think as much as Ethan. My style is changing a lot. I want something more different and unique for the next child(ren). Although, at the time I thought Ethan and Logan were different. I had the name Ethan picked out 3-4 yrs before we had a child. I would never regret naming them what I did because it's not just a name, they're my children and that's who they are, name and all. I love their names regardless of popularity or trendiness or whatever group they fall into, lol.

I have a couple regrets (of 4 boys).

One of my boys is Christopher & I do love the name but now wish I'd have named him Christian.

The other is in naming our 4th ds. We really wanted to give him a unique name but chickened out & gave him a traditioanl name. To this day (he's 2 1/2) we wish we'd have gone w/ the unique name.

Nope, no regrets here. I love my son's name (Noah). It wasn't a name I had ever considered when I was younger or even when I was ttc. Once I was pregnant, however, it just seemed like the perfect fit. I can't imagine him as anything other than Noah. I had a few concerns about popularity, but I researched and concluded that it hasnt' really caught on in my area yet. That day is probably coming, but I don't think it will change my mind about his name.

The closest I come to regret is that my other favorite boy name is Nathaniel. I don't think I can use it if my second child is a boy because of the double Ns. Noah and Nathaniel (or Noah and Nate) might be just a little too cutesy for me.

I LOVE the names we gave our children. We decided on them in about thirty seconds flat and I just love them. Both are pretty popular although not on the top ten list, but I do not regret using a name that other children have. We seriously had agreed on these two names before we were even married and so naming this third baby has been such a shock because so far it has been eight months of throwing things around and nothing is "perfect" yet!

But no regrets for the first two. They are Connor Thomas and Kadyn May by the way. Their first names we just liked (I do not know where I picked up Connor but have always liked it and Kadyn was the name of a flower girl at a wedding we went to years and years ago. Connor is the fifth generation from the family of my husband - my apostrophe is not working so excuse the strange grammar - to have Thomas for a middle name. May was the name of my paternal grandmother, whom I admired very much.)

Good luck with your choice!
