Anyone else ever hear of the name Mataya

I have been looking for the meaning or the background of the name Mataya! This is what I am naming my daughter I love the name and have never hear anyone else with the name I am not even sure where I picked it up! It is just a name that has been in my head for quite some time! Anyone Please Help!!

I think ist Beautiful! I like the name Matteo for a boy and if I was having a girl I would use that. I seen that name recently as a Movie star named her baby girl that I think it was Mira Sorvino..Great Choice its different.My kids all have M names and so I am always looking only in the M section.

I love the name, but I prefer the spelling Mattea. We considered Matteo our baby boy.
