Are these names becoming popular?

I really want to stay away from these names if they are becoming popular or trendy. Your thoughts and comments welcome!
Genevieve
Annaliese

I think both names are moving up in popularity but they both have a long way to go before they could be considered popular.
Mom to Cameron (6.26.00), Clarissa (9.15.02), and Charlotte (4.13.05). Baby #4 due 8.4.07

I'm in Boston and have met 3 or 4 Annelises all under the age of 4ish. I worked as a Children's Librarian and had 2 different Annelises (one family, I think, was German or Dutch) in classes and now I have a 15 mo. old daughter and have met a couple of more at playgroups, etc.
It is a very pretty name!
Good luck!

Though Genevieve is higher on the SSA, Annalise seems more "of the moment" to me, though I wouldn't call it trendy. Genevieve seems more classic, and is a personal favorite. If you look at the Baby Name Voyager, you can see that Genevieve was at the height of its popularity 100 years ago, whereas Annalise/Anneliese has only entered the top 1000 in the last 10 years.
Do you have any French or German heritage? That might be a way to choose one or the other.
I hear the names discussed a lot on this board, but I don't know of any young Genevieves or Annelises (any spelling) in my area (large midwestern city). I know an adult Annalisa. My DD is Julianna, nn Annie, and we've run into a couple other little Anna/Annies, but that's it.
You can always check the SSA list to see how the names stand nationwide.
