There are getting more popular, but I think that it is just there there are so many that sound alike that it seems like they are everywhere (Caden, Hayden, Brayden, Aiden, Jaden). Ssme boys names that I like that aren't overused:
Owen Adrian Julian Sebastian Liam (cute as a fn or as a nn for William) Grant Graham Eli Elliot Tate Ian Drew Miles Griffin (Finn is a great nn)
Hi there! I don't think that Hayden and Caden are too popular right now, *but* I have noticed a big jump in both boy and girl names that have the "aden" sound in them: Braden, Aiden, Caden, Jaden, etc. It sounds like you may be looking for a boy's name that is unisex, but masculine, that would go with Riley :-)
I think that there is a growing trend to use "aden" names for boys and girls. I definitely like Aidan the best out of all those type of names, and I think it goes well with Riley.
Owen was the first name that popped into my head, and I saw a previous poster already suggested it.

Personally, i really dont care what names are popular or not, unless its like Micheal or john but you can go to the social security websites or do a search for popular names in any search engine. I dont think Kyle is to popular, its all your personal preference unless you are going for family names. If mines a boy i will name him Jacob Hamilton after my grandfather jacob is on the top 10 list of last year , although i never hear it. Also i wanted to name a girl Haley, but its on the top 10 list and my hubby says it way to overused, but i rarely hear it.
I only know one child named Hayden and it's a little girl, about 5. I don't personally know any Caden's, but it appears to be semi-popular when you read the boards.
here are some that I like that aren't overly popular, but aren't "out there" - Keegan, Derek, Colton, Conner, Colin, Brennan, Garrett, Holden (nice alternative to Hayden), Ian, Hunter, Kyler, Landon, Preston, Parker, Rory, Rhett, Spencer, Tanner, Trevor.

I think all those "_aden" names are not only getting popular, but they are all so much the same that it's easy to mix them all up.
