ARF- Horrible initials or no big deal?

My husband and I are in a little disagreement about a middle name. We both love the name Alexandra (if it is a girl- which we don't even know yet). He likes the middle name Rose, which I think sounds nice, but her initials would be ARF. I fear she would be made fun of by other children if we give her these initials. Other middle names I like for Alexandra are Lily, Nicole, and possibly Elizabeth- but then she would have a very long name, as our last name has four syllables. What do you all think?

Alexandra is lovely. Personally, I would probably choose a different middle name, such as Bryn, Claire, Cherisse, Dawn, Eve, Faye, Faith, Gayle, Jade, Jane, June, Lisette, Paige, or Sage; but that's mainly because I'm not a huge Rose fan. If Rose is "the name" for you and your husband, though, there are SO many worse things than having the initials ARF! (That said, I probably wouldn't advertise the ARF initial by buying her sweaters, school bags, pencils or etc., with the ARF initials prominently displayed. All kids get teased, but why make it easy for them?)

I think it's a sweet name, the initials could be better, but they aren't horrible. My first thought was "Acute Renal Failure", but that's because I'm a nurse, lol.

ARF would be cute if it's a boy, but I think it would be mean to give those initials to a girl, since "dog" is slang for an ugly girl and I can envision kids saying "Arf, arf," all day.

My idea is name her something you like, forget about ARF! She will most likely get married and not have the last name that starts with F. She will have her middle name forever. Choose something you like that you want her to display based on loving the name.
