Aurelia is absolutely lovely! It's one of the names on my "secret pleasure" list. I find it gorgeous when I say it, beautiful when I write it and I adore the nickname Lia for it. I just think it needs to be paired with a simpler surname than I have (My surname is one of those Celtic surnames that are wildly popular for girls now) and I just couldn't use it myself. I'd adore being introduced to a little Aurelia!

I think Aurelia is a hard name for people to pronounce at first, so you may want to stick with the original version. I find it to be a very pretty name but there is no way I could convince DF of using it due to his wariness of names he finds hard to pronounce.

I think those are BEAUTIFUL names...one main reason is that my Great-grandmother was named Aurelie.

All I can think of when I hear this name is areola, the area around the nipple on a woman's breast!!!
