Hi

Our 3 year old daughter's name is Mieli Olivia (Mieli pron. like Kylie with a M). It is a bit different and pretty. We got her name from the Elvis movie, Blue Hawaii. The original spelling is Maile.

Good luck!

Ava sounds more sweet, and a name that's kind of surprising in the name pool of a few year ago, of unisex names, girls "taking" buys names, and very bold variations of "classical" names. But also Ava has a longevity that will carry her into life. What if she wants to be a judge one day... would she be proud to put her first name on the degree or opt out for her middle name? I try to think of these things. Like, my husband and I love the name Zander... very "out there", strong, powerfull, all of the things that we would like to convey about our up coming child. But we thought about, what if he chooses a carrer that needs to have a more "conservative sounding name", for instance, a doctor.... we were wondering if he would like to hear over again "Paging Dr. Zander"... so we opted for Alexander.... and that way he would be able to choose his name if he wants... Al, Alex, Zander..... but we would call him Zander. I hope this helps you and others :) congrats!
