ok, this may be the wrong place to post, but i come to this board most frequently and value the fb. i've noticed a lot of moms have many kids. my question is gauche, but, financially, hoe do you do it? my dh makes a good living, but he's away a lot and i stay ar home with one baby. we did want many, but can't see how to do it. for those w/ lots of kids are you just loaded with money or do your kids go w/out? how will you pay for 6 college tuitions? clothes, vacations, a house big enough? cars! food! do you all work full time? i think 2 is all we can afford and live comfortably. if anyone wouln't mind responding i'd love to hear your advice/story

Dh and I are currently ttc #7, so I know the ins and outs of raising tons of kids.

My husband and I are trying to have our first baby and don't really know what's in store for us!! I have no idea the expenses we will take on, but I am willing and able to deal with it head on. I plan to work full time, as I do now, and so does my husband. We have plenty of free time that usually goes to housework or tv or reading, but we rarely go out. Our attention is mostly spent on each other and our cat. I can't wait to have a baby to give our attention to. We can't afford to have me stay at home with our child, but I would love it if we could. That would be ideal. My husband is in Sales, so his income is not steady. But since we can't because my income is so important, we will spend every moment of free time with our baby. I think it will all work out in the end and we'll have a wonderful, well-adjusted child. I hope, anyway!!!
I would love to have a bunch of kids, but realize that they may not have the best quality of life if we can't afford them, so we'll probably just settle on one or two. We'll be more than capable to handle two children. I would like to have more, but I just don't want to deprive them financially.
