My sister will be having her second son very soon (due date is March 23) and has yet to decide on a first name. Older brother is Tyler Stephen. She has FINALLY picked a couple of names she likes and also has decided on the baby's middle name. Middle name will be Lee (90% certain), this is the baby's father's middle name. Last name will be long: Reynolds-Hoffmann.
Here are a few names she has said she likes so far. Please tell me what you think.
Shaun Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann
Nathan Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann
Alexander Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann
Logan Lee Reynolds Hoffmann
I personally don't think that Shaun or Logan sound good with Lee as a middle name. My sister has also mentioned the possibility of using Alexander as a middle name. As I said, she is only 90% set on Lee.
So perhaps:
Shaun Alexander Reynolds-Hoffmann -or-
Logan Alexander Reynolds-Hoffmann
Please let me know what you think. Any other suggestions would be helpful also. Thanks!

She's got some good options ...
Shaun Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann - my first choice; since there's a hyphenated surname, I think it's best to have short fn and mn; even tho fn & mn are one syllable, they don't
With
Shaun Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann- I really dislike the Shaun spelling, Sean looks a million times better to me. I like Tyler and Sean as brothers a lot, but agree that with Sean and Lee both being one-syllable, the flow isn't great. But I do think it's important to use a family name (Lee) as a mn and not just a random name (Alexander) so I would stick with Sean Lee.
Nathan Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann: Love this name and it goes incredibly well with Tyler as a brother and will Lee as a mn. This seems like the best choice to me!
Alexander Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann: This is nice, but I don't think it goes that great with Tyler. I like Sean and Nathan better. The nn Alex is very popular, but I do LOVE the nn Anders
Logan Lee Reynolds-Hoffmann- This is okay, it is nice, but I prefer Sean or Nathan.

I vote Nathan Lee -- a good, strong name.
I dislike the spelling of Shaun, Alexander has been done to death and is awfully long with the last names, and Logan is boringly trendy.
Just wanted to mention that it's not the end of the world if she doesn't have the name set before the baby is born. Dh and I couldn't decide on ds's name until he was at least a week old. I've had people tell me, "I thought you weren't allowed to leave the hospital until you had named the baby!", which is just silly. It's your baby. It's a little more trouble because you have to go to fill out the birth certificate paperwork at another time (usually at the county or city office), but to us it was definitely worth the extra time to come up with the perfect name for our son.
