Okay,
Here is my situation. My husband and I are trying to decide on a name for our first child. We both want to use some family names. I really didn't want to use them for a first name, but does anyone have any suggestions using at least one of these names as a first or middle name? I think we are close to making a decision, but I would be interested in different points of view. The names that we would like to use at some point when we have kids would be Stephen, John, and Paul. The only problem is we do not want it to be a very popular name. I thought about maybe using the letter J and coming up with something besides John or use a different variation of the name. I would be interested in hearing what other people come up with before we make a decision.
Thanks for the feedback!!!

I really like the name Paul. It is not very common, but it is easy to pronounce and spell, and has no shortened nickname.
Also, it sounds good with Italian last name. My grandfather was named Paul and had an Italian last name, and one of my coworkers is also named Paul and has an Italian last name.
My next choice would be Stephen (but then the question will always come up... with a "ph" or a "v"), and last would be John (because of the toilet comments).
