I'm due in 2 weeks, and DH and I are TOTALLY at a loss on what to name this baby if it's a girl. (We're on the green team) ... it's VERY important to us to only use Family Names - which obviously limits our list of options. .... However, we are willing to do a "version" of a name

Hi there.

Here are my thoughts on the family names-

* Anna-This is pretty, & I like it w/Sebastian & Lucy. (Great names, by the way!)

Anna - goes well with Lucy; I also like Annabelle for you

Blair - I like this name but I don't think it's be best fit with your other childrens' names.

Carmen - I like this but I really dislike the NN "Carm" - not sure how you feel about it.

Eleanor - This is pretty but becoming quite common. I think Ellen is lovely and underused though. I like Lucy & Ellen together.

Elizabeth - Beautiful, classic name. It is a little formal' compared to Lucy though.

Emma - This is a beautiful name. Super popular a few years ago but pretty.

Evelyn - Would you consider Eva? I think Lucy & Eva work well together. And Eva is not as popular right now as Evelyn.

Katherine / Catherine -

* Blair - Very cool, unique but not kre8ive, love!

* Carmen - ok, reminds me of Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?

* Eleanor - Lovely, so elegant and classy!

* Elizabeth - ok but a little boring compared to eleanor.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of these names- they are all great!

Thanks everyone for all of your feedback! ... I agree - some of the names are a little bit "boring" - others are too "formal" ... and a few are a little too popular right now. (Like Emma) ... which is why we're so stuck.

What do you think about making a "girls" name from a male relative's name?

I like Anna and Catherine. I would probably use Cate or Catie as a nickname. Evelyn, nick name Eve would also be sweet. Don't really care for any of the others. Good luck!
