hi, ladies.
my second daughter is due on february 3, and we still don't have a name. if you could help me out, that would be great.
we have already picked elizabeth as a middle name, since it's my mother-in-law's first name.
my daughter's name is emma. popularity is not an issue for us.
here's what we're considering:
anna
ava
clare (this is how we would spell it.)
isabel
grace
hannah
ella
joan
jannie
arianna

thanks so much.

Ava and Clare are both two of my favorite girls names. But if "I" had to choose, I would choose Clare because I think Emma has an antique touch to it as does Clare. They are both of the same style in my opinion. Elizabeth for a middle name goes well with any of your names, though. Good luck to you, best wishes.

to narrow your list a bit, I like:

clare elizabeth
hannah elizabeth
joan elizabeth

I'd vote for jane elizabeth (dont care for jannie as a given name but its a nice nn) if that was a choice!

My favourites from your list (no particular order) are Anna, Hannah, and Clare. Claire is a family name for us (the Irish side of my dad's family is from Co. Clare), so it's on my list, too. I will absolutely either use the Clare spelling, or just use Clara, though...one of my uncles has Claire for his middle name, and I am not at all fond of the man.

I like Clare and Hannah

I really love Anna but not Anna and Emma

My #1 choice would be Clare Elizabeth

I personally would go with Grace Elizabeth. I love the sound of it. Good luck in choosing the perfect name. Sometimes it helps once the baby is born than the name you chose feels more like the perfect one.
