Baby First Names

My husband and I are trying to choose baby names. We know the middle names, if its a boy its James and if its a girl it is Lane...both family names that we hope to pass on. My husband has picked out Hayden for a boys name but I am not so sure Hayden James sounds so great...using my husbands first name as the middle name sounds better to me..Hayden Christopher. Also I like Cadence for a girls name and my husband likes Cadence but doesnt think it sounds good with Lane. If anyone has any other suggestions for first names to go with the middle names James and Lane it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!!!

I like Hayden James better then Hayden Christopher. James is a great middle name and would go with many first names. Here are a few:

Corbin James
Brady James
Ethan James
Alexander James

I am not sure that I like the sound of Candence Lane. How about Cassidy Lane?

Cadence Lane sounds just fine. I just love the name Lane!!
Other options for your daughter:
Anna Lane
Elizabeth Lane
Kathryn Lane
Hayden Lane
Courtney Lane
Jessica Lane
Constance Lane
Candice Lane

Lane can also be used for a boy. How about Hayden Lane for a boy? I like Hayden Christopher, but Hayden James sounds just fine.

Best of luck!

It's nice that you have picked out family names for middle names. When you think about how rarely middle names are used, I don't think you should worry that the first and middle names don't sound just perfect together - - as long as the initials don't spell anything wacky. Hayden James is fine. Cadence Lane is fine. However, just an FYI that Hayden is becoming popular for girls, so there may be a girl in his classroom or school with the same name.

Actually, Hayden James sounds great! I wouldn't hesitate to use that mn. But Hayden Christopher sounds great too!! (Sorry I wasn't helpful.)

I'm not as crazy about Cadence Lane but it's not all that bad either ... I'm just not as crazy about the name Cadence as some other names. How about Marissa Lane?

I really love Hayden James! In fact, I have a friend with this exact name and I think its great!
As for girls, you're right- I don't love the sound of Cadence Lane. You could always do two mn's- Cadence Elizabeth Lane and Hayden David James? I remember when I was a kid, this one girl had two mn's and everyone was jealous! Otherwise, consider these names:
Eliana Lane
Noelle Lane
Brigit Lane
Phoebe Lane
Sienna Lane
Arlen Lane
Brooklyn Lane
Jocelyn Lane
I love Sienna Lane!

you are too long-A heavy on both counts

Hayden James and Cadence Lane

I agree Hayden Christopher sounds much better, but here's my thought on that - Hayden is unisex - how about Holden (similar in sound) as an all-boy alternative (and also not nearly as popular/common) then you lose the long A and can go with Holden James

as far as Cadence Lane. I really don't like it together. only alternative I can think of close to Cadence is Candace, which is sorta outdated, always ends up with Candy nn.

here are some that I think work with the middle name Lane - I'll try to be in the similar style to Cadence, but Cadence is an unusual one to peg for style

anyhow

Amber Lane
Aubrey Lane
Carina Lane
Dannah Lane
Erica Lane
Heidi Lane
Hilary Lane
Johanna Lane
Kelsey Lane
Mackenzie Lane
Marissa Lane
Natasha Lane
Piper Lane (I LIKE that)
Phoebe Lane
Sabrina Lane
Sienna Lane
Samara Lane
Sierra Lane
Tiffany Lane
Tonya Lane
Tasha Lane
Torri Lane
Whitney Lane

good luck
