My husband and I are thinking of naming our daughter Kinslie. I've seen it listed in some places as unisex, and others as just a boy (even some that said it didn't exist!). I personally love the name you've chosen, and I think it would be fine as a girls name. Then again, it's a matter of personal preference. If that's what you wanna name your beautiful little girl, then go ahead! I'm all for the unique names that nobody else has! Good luck and Congrats!
It's predominately male, though anything currently hot for boys (as Gaellic names are) are getting the unisex treatment these days...but the assumption would be that a Kieran was male because that is its traditional and mainstream usage.

I used to have a boss named Kieran (female).
it's not one that I've heard a lot - but the very few I have heard have all been boys - it certainly has unisex potential
