Baby Name Pet Peeves

Hey all! I'm new here and not expecting anytime soon but always have been fascinated with baby names.
Thought it would be interestiing to see what everyone's biggest pet peeve(s) for baby names are!
Mine:
Girls with boys names...I just can't jump on the whole 'Ryan' 'Cameron' 'Riley" thing.
Close second to common names with crazy spellings (ie: Erica spelled Erykah) and siblings (especially twins) with too similar names-my husband has twin cousins who are 'Trevor' and 'Travis'
Love to see your thoughts!

My other pet name peeve is when someone steals your name! Sometimes it seems like they must have read your mind. Even if you don't tell them they still somehow wind up with it.
Lauren
My pet peeve is that I, who has english as second language learned that there was a difference between a,o,u,y,e when pronouncing in English.
Now there are coming
I can't stand overly femine girl's names. Yuck!! Like Sophia, Arabella and Annabelle (that's a cow's name)etc. They are like fingers on a chalk board to even listen too!
Sophia isn't over feimin names for me, it is old family and so are Ava
My biggest pet peeve has already been spoken...Girls with boy names. It's kinda ironic since my name is Jodi, but oh well. I think it is getting harder and harder to choose a boys name because you never know when people will start naming their daughters that name. When I think of Bailey (really wanted to name my DS that, DH nixed it b/c afraid of him being confused with a girl), Taylor, Jordan, Avery, Morgan (there is even a girl Tyler in DS class) and so on, I think boy.
I don't mind creative spellings if they aren't too creative. But as someone pointed out, Katelyn is Caitlin no matter how you spell it.
One more thing...my daughters name is Jayda, she's 12. When we named her no one heard her name before. Now, it's growing more and more popular. So I guess my final pet peeve is when you think you picked a different name and ten years later it's all of a sudden trendy.
Oh well :)
"I don't like when extra letters are added (Carlee, Britnee, Ashlee, etc) or substituted (Jordyn, Abygail, Mackenzye, etc)."
I'm guilty of this with my youngest, but for a reason. Her name is pronounced Amelia, but spelled Amylia....but that's because both her father and grandfather have the middle name of Amyl, and I wanted to name her after them.

"The purposeful misspelling of names drives me crazy too. Adding "y" all over the place, making up spellings. The kids are going to have to spell their names their entire lives."
That happens a lot, even WITHOUT creative spellings. I've had to spell my name for people my entire life, and it's a fairly common name and spelling.

I am sick of Ava,Ella,MacKenzie,MaKayla,Jayden,too.
Every time some movie star names a kid some name then everyone jumps on it.I guess Apple will be next but I hope not.
Coco makes me think of Cocoa Puffs or that monkey that learned sign language.
If your family has a tie to Madison then use it but if not then don't.
I don't like Trixiebelle or made up names.
I don't like D'Aun ,Krystyna,Me'chell,or things like that.
I am tired of Jacks,Jakes,Hannahs,Briannas,too.
