William Lane Hammer
Thank you for the advice.

William is my all-time favorite name for boys.

Being the mom of a Will, I have to say this is one of my all time favorite names for a boy. Does your dh not like Will as a nn? I much prefer it over Lane; I agree with a pp that Lane is becoming more feminized w/all the "Lanie" type girl's names out there.
Not a big fan of Katelynn myself, have you considered Kathlynn? (Combines both the Katelynn and the Katherine that you mentioned). Warren Beatty and Annette Bening have a dd named Kathlynn and I've thought that a lovely sounding name every since first hearing it.
As for the mns on the girls, I like the sprightly "Rae" better than Renae and the Lianne spelling better than Leanne (and even the name Linnea more). Both Renae and Leanne feel '60s-'70s to me. If they have personal family meaning to you, though, then that trumps what my perception of cool is, lol!!!

I like Lane William but if you want to save William for a possible brother, some other ideas:
