Baby's Initials ... how important?

We have yet to decide on a name for a baby girl, due in just 3 weeks. I figure she'll be named in the hospital after we've had the chance to meet her. Last night DH and I got into another discussion about names and I mentioned (again) liking Norah. DH said he "loves it" and then said that her initials would be N.A.G. (the middle and last names are set in stone). So my question is, how important are initials? It's obviously not a cuss word but is it bad enough to not go with it? Did initials play a part in the name(s) you did or didn't choose?

I don't think initials are a big deal, unless it spells something vulgar AND the initials would be well known outside the family (you use the first and middle names both).

Norah is such a great name. It's one of those that is really cute on a little girl, but ages very well into a sophisticated, elegant or spunky and sassy young woman.

Hmmmm... I don't even think I'd think about it. The only initial I would stir clear of is B.J. which, oddly enough some people have had names with those initials.....

I think you'd be fine with her name - like Norah!

My nephew's initials spell DARK! But it wasn't something that they tried to avoid or tried to do either. The names just really flowed well together and some of them are after family members!

Hm, how bad do you think 'nag' is?
