BAD baby name.....

Got this birth announcement last night....brief history. Parents are older (Mom is early 40s) and went though infertility treatments to have kids. Upper end of the income scale. The mom then irked the crap out of me by returning to work 60+ hours a week

I honestly think they are a little (or a LOT) oblivious to the world outside of their own.

I actually said something about Rage, and naming her child that. (I have since given up and just resigned to the fact that they pick terrible names) Apparently, Rage was a compromise of sorts.

I first read it, thought it said traitor like someone who betrays their country or something. Goes with Rage. Did you ever ask them why such odd names?

"Please do not use the nickname Taitor Tot."

Um......that's the best way to get that nickname used!

Was this a baby naming post or a SAHM/WOHM post? Yikes. I don't know where to begin.

"The mom then irked the crap out of me by returning to work 60+ hours a week 6 weeks after their first baby was born. I wondered why they went though all of that to have the kid raised by strangers in a day care? It is "good" for a six week old to have interaction with other kids...ummm...no, it is "good" for a six week old to have a steady milk supply, dry diapers and a cuddle from mom. But I digress."

When fathers return to work the day after a baby is born does it irk you? Do you honestly think that day care "raises" children when they are there during working hours 5 days a week, and spend part of that time napping? Do the parents lock the kids in a closet mornings, evenings, and weekends? You sound so judgmental. Have these people or children done anything to personally hurt you?

You have a lot of issues, and it seems to me that you just don't like these people, and if they named their child John or Richard you would have had some toilet or dick comments for us too. I don't like the name Taiter either, and it is funny, and I feel sorry for the child as he gets older, but I don't see what all the rest has to do with a baby naming board.

Actually, wouldn't it be a better combination of Reese and Gage to name him "Geese?"

OMG, I had to reply to your post. Those poor kids.
I did LOL at your name compromises and got a funny look from my DH. I will be sure to cross those names of my possible list for my new little one.
Again, those poor poor kids...
