I actually wanted to name my DS Bailey (party of five days), but DH wasn't real crazy about it for a boy. Which was probably a good thing since it seems more popular for a girl than a boy. I think it's a great name for either sex. Go for it!

I love the name Bailey. I like it spelled Baylee, because my middle name is Lee, so I thought it was cute like that. I like it Baleigh too. Really any way you spell it, it's cute!

My mn is Lee, too and I always thought that I'd like to spell it Baylee. I've always wanted to continue the tradition of the Lee mn in my family, but wondered if Baylee was doing the tradition justice, KWIM???

Thanks so much!!

I know some boy and girl Baileys. I prefer it on a girl because I know more girls with the name than boys.

I think it's cute (it's my daughter's CPK's name LOL), but I would definitely stick with the regular Bailey spelling. Any others just make it look overly-trendy and made-up, and many make it seem the syllables should be stressed differently or something (for example, I know a woman who used the spelling Baylee, and on first glance people would try to pronounce it like bay-lee ... almost sounded like bay leaf or something LOL). I think it's because it makes the name look like the syllables would be split differently -- Bailey would be bail-ey and Baylee would be bay-lee, KWIM? So I'd stick with Bailey! :)

I love the name. My 7-year old daughter's name is Bailey Morgan. After we named her that we realized that both of her names were alcoholic drinks. Oops!!!!!!! Sounds good together though.
Some other thoughts:
Bailey Ann
Bailey Jo
Bailey Lynn

it's not one of my favorites - I'm tired of the whole unisex thing.

but Bailey or Bayley are the best spellings if you are going to use it.

and I think you'd want kind of a known girl name - but not really "prissy" sounding, if you know what I mean - not an overly frilly one. something more traditional

like Bailey Christine, Bailey Catherine, Bailey Kathleen, Bailey Corinne, Bailey Elizabeth, Bailey Michelle, Bailey Nicole

good luck
