Bellamy?

I met a young girl today with the name Bellamy. She used Bella as a nn.

I'm not normally a fan of surnames, but I kind of liked this one. It was a family name, so that makes it even better.

Any thoughts?

I absolutely love it. I spotted it in a magazine while I was pregnant with Penn and thought "that's cool." But it starts with the same letter as our chosen girl name, so I probably wouldn't do it. I like the "beautiful friend" meaning, too.

Surnames, imo, are fantastic, so long as they're from YOUR family, LOL! Bellamy is a great one. It's not too "out there," what with all the -bella, -belle names floating around at the moment, and it reminds me of Madge Bellamy. :)
