My girl pick is Anastasia (this spelling), nn Staci. I have a friend named Mary Anastasia, called Staci. I don't like the C spelling of Anastasia, though. Otherwise, I really love Pilar, Camille (though I like Camilla a little bit better), Collier, and Carys. I really like Larson from your boy list. I'd nix Judas...the religious connotation is quite negative, and really, quite unavoidable.

I was surprised to see Phoenix on your list of girl names, and even more surprised to see Adair on your list of boy names (I know it's unisex, but I've got it pretty well set in stone as the name of my first daughter).

Oooh, how fun! I've always wondered what it would be like to "TTC." Our babies sprang forth unannounced...lol Good luck!

You already know I'm opinionated, esp. when there are siblings. So here goes-

With dd Madisyn Kate (nn Madi)-

BOYS:
Ace- Cute as a nn. What about Asa, nn Ace? Asa is a strong, unusual, old name. Asa Derek, Asa Preston

Adair- I LOVE the name. I've loved it so long for

Congrats on TTC -- how exciting! ;) With big sister Madisyn/Madi ...

BOYS:
Ace -- nn only
Adair -- LOVE Adair, and although I have nothing against anyone using it on a girl, I've only ever heard it as a masculine name
Adam -- don't like the Mad-/Ad- beginnings ... just a little matchy, but you have so many choices I wouldn't miss it ;)
Adon -- ditto Adam
Cash -- sorry, just money or Johnny to me. Not as bad as a mn
Chandler -- I definitely wouldn't pair another unisex name (or masculine name used on girls, for that matter) with a girl named Madisyn. It will just look like you have two boys or two girls with unisex names
Damien -- I like it
Dallas -- another one also used on girls. I'd skip it
Derek -- ok
Dieter/Dietrich -- not great with Madisyn, but ok
Dylan -- used on girls
Eric -- that's ok
Isaac -- I like it
Jackson -- no way. I'd stay away from another -son ending name (I feel the same for boys named, say, Jackson and Harrison, unless they have two different dads named Jack and Harry ... but that would probably be in poor taste LOL)
Jeffrey -- a bit dated, but not bad
Judah -- love this
Judas -- prefer Judah ... or simply Jude (Madisyn and Jude works!)
Kaleb -- spell it Caleb and I like it
Larson – immediately brings to mind the word larceny
Lawson – I like it, but you have the –son problem again. I’d prefer the similar Lawler
Lennon – nice. A little rhymey with Madisyn, but not terrible. Lennox might work better.
Malachi – love it, but I’d avoid another M with Madisyn
Maximus/Maximilian – nms
Micaiah – aside from it being another M name, this looks like Mi-kay-a (no idea if it is), which seems very feminine next to your dd’s name
Miles – nice, but another M
Morpheus – Madisyn and Morpheus would seem very odd, to be honest, even if they weren’t both M names
Parker – I like this a lot for you!
Philip – ok, but a bit traditional next to your dd’s name
Preston – it’s ok, but since it ends in –on as well I prefer Parker from your list
Sebastian – not with Madisyn, although I love the name on its own
Tauren – would seem feminine with your dd’s name, especially with its similarity to Lauren
Trevor – that’s ok
Tyler – also used on girls
Zachary – expected, but fine

GIRLS:
Arielle – I like this for you
Ainsley – this might be perfect! Ainsley would be a great sister to Madisyn
Amaya – maybe too M-ey with your dd?
Anastacia nn Staci – not the best spelling, and an odd pairing with your dd’s name
Annelise – I could see this a little easier
Ava – again, a bit more traditional but it might work, given it’s popularity
Camille – too feminine, although I like it
Carys – hmm … I could see that working.
Celeste – I like it, but not with Madisyn
Collier (pron. Call-yer) – reminds me of The 4400, but I think it’d be great with Madisyn
Chandler – I could see this as a sister to Madisyn, although it’s not my favorite for either gender
Fairfax – not for a fn
Hailey – Madisyn and Hailey work well together. I like it!
Kallista nn Kalli – not with this K spelling, and probably not with Madisyn
Karlee -- no
Kira or Kyra (pron. Kee-ra) – it’s fine, but not my favorite for you
Marissa – too similar to your dd
Nadia – too dissimilar ;)
Naomi – ditto Nadia
Pheonix – Phoenix (spelled this way), might work for you, but it’s nms
Pilar – I never got the appeal of this one, and it would seem very odd next to Madisyn
Rachel – it’s ok. I like the name, but it’s much more Biblical and feminine

I think you’ve gotten some similar comments regarding names ending in –son (or even just a similar –n ending) being too matchy with Madisyn, so one way to trim your list might be to go through and get rid of these, as well as any M names. I’d also eliminate any unisex names from your boy list, since you’re dd’s name is masculine and a son might prefer an “all-boy” name, KWIM?

My favorites for you would probably be Jude or Parker for a boy and Ainsley or Hailey for a girl. ;)

HTH

~Kelli
