I'm sure many of you remember Kelli (mommyagain6124) who used to be a regular poster here. She's still here lurking occasionally, but she has her hands full and not much free time to post ... especially now that she has FOUR little ones.
Since she hasn't had the chance, she asked that I pass on her good news to rest of the group.

Tallula Eleanor

Here's another photo of sweet little Tallula:

Thanks again for the congrats. And it's funny, Colleen ... I just stumbled onto one of my old posts (from around the time we found out we were expecting) where I mentioned that Talulla was the ONE name I'd truly regret not getting to use. How fitting that we ended up with girl number FOUR and actually got to use it! ;)
And Eleanor was actually our other serious contender -- along with Gwyneth, which we discarded due to family associations -- but we didn't want to go through the whole "preferred nickname" thing we have with Abigail/Aila (we love Nora, but I didn't want an Ella with Aila or Ellie with me, Kelli LOL). So Talulla Eleanor literally allowed us to use BOTH favorites for our last little girl. Gotta love that!
Thanks again to all who've checked in and offered their congratulations. Always nice to hear from some "familiar faces." ;)

I've been having computer issues so I'm late in responding, but I wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Also, I'm so jealous you got to use Talulla, totally happy for you, of course, but still a bit jealous.
Enjoy-
Annie

I think you're right, Terra. The prediction was boy. LOL I really thought it was a long shot that we'd end up with a FOURTH girl -- though I suppose I should have known the odds were very much WITH us there ;) -- but since we've had her (or even when I was still pregnant and people would ask) it seems that the four-girl families just keep coming out of the woodwork. Everywhere we go, random people (like Kate's teacher or our cashier at Lowe's yesterday LOL) will comment along the lines of "Oh, I was one of four girls, and we LOVED it! ... And yes, our father survived it just fine, bathroom squabbles aside." ROFL Seems it's not as uncommon as we would have thought.
And speaking of not hearing Talulla/Tallulah often ... the day she was born, we were watching Jeopardy and one of the questions had to do with the Bugsy Malone movie (asking what actress played Tallulah, I believe ... we thought it was rather opportune timing, to say the least), and the other day we took the girls to see Penelope, and there was a Tallulah in the credits as well (the little girl outside the photo booth, I think, for anyone who's seen it). Funny how you seem to notice a name around more often once you use it (or simply really like it). ;)
As to our own little Talulla -- and going from three girls to four -- she's really an easy baby, so it hasn't been that hard at all. Just cries when she needs a change and a feeding, and sleeps pretty much anywhere, anytime and through anything. ;) Seems fourth babies tend to be like that (a friend just went from three to four a few short months ago, and he's the same way). Guess you have to be when there are always three other kids around poking at you and making noise, right? LOL I've heard once you've gone from two to three (the old man-on-man to zone defense LOL), you can pretty much handle any number of children, and that seems to be true. Not much difference between dealing with three and dealing with four ... assuming you have the room in your vehicle, of course (we already had a 7-seater Durango LOL). As far as day-to-day things go, however, it really doesn't seem to add much. My mom was a little wary about babysitting all four at first, but Jay's on vacation this week and she watched the two babies while we took Kate and Devanie to Penelope (as mentioned), and saw that the baby was very easy to take care of. Then my sister watched all four for a bit while we went to a "grown-up" movie yesterday (first time we got out alone since she was born!), and today she's watching them all -- with a hand from my mom -- while we head out to Philly for a hockey game, so it's certainly doable. ;)
Thanks for checking in!
